On behalf of our client we are looking for junior market manager. The HQ is in Darmstadt but the successful candidates are responsible for different regions. Our client is a Life Science leader providing cutting-edge technologies, tools, and services for bioscience research, analytical processes and biopharmaceutical manufacturing. From research to development to production, our scientific expertise and innovative solutions help customers tackle their most complex problems and achieve their goals.
4 Junior Market Managers for
1) Northern Germany (Postcode 17-31, 34, 36-38, 49) or Western Germany (Postcode 32-33, 40-53, 57-59)
2) Eastern Germany (Postcode 01-16, 39, 98-99)
3) Middle Germany (Postcode 54-56, 60-67)
4) South West Germany (Postcode 68-79, 88, 89)
Responsibilities
• Managing the whole catalogue portfolio for laboratory & production applications (e. g. Chemistry & Analytics, Chromatography, Water & Food Analytics, Microbiology, Microscopy, Peptide Synthesis)
• Visiting customers/ end-users in labs alone or together with our distribution partners
• Ensuring our clients brand is sold via dealers and also direct where possible
• Establish relationship to the Buying Centers at the major customer sites
• Representing our clients ear, eye and face to the customer
• Gaining market know-how, being a trend scout, exploring the competitive landscape and indicators in the market
• Pursuing business opportunities with direct customers, e. g. private label business, business in development & pilot plant
• Implementing & developing a customer database
Qualifications
• Degree in Chemistry, (optional Life Sciences)
• At least 1 year of experience in Sales in a chemical / analytical environment.
• Native German speaker and fluent in English
• Customer focused, strong communicator
• Self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative and with limited supervision.
• Proactive and decisive personality
• Strong sales skills, able to drive change.
• Flexible, willing to travel
• Open-minded and with excellent team spirit
